The Year 9 curriculum provides a platform for future learning together with the opportunity for students to shape their programme towards their learning passions.

Two Year 9 classes follow an advanced learning programme in their core subjects. These classes are exposed to increased challenge in a wide range of learning contexts and the opportunity to work towards the accelerated Year 10 programme in Mathematics and Science, studying at NCEA level a year earlier than their peers. The accelerated learning of these students in their junior years enables them to take a broader range of subjects in the senior school.
